Summary:
A prominent Service provider was looking for a real-time system to assist Operations in swift response to major environmental events. Every year various parts of their country experience major events such as flooding, cyclones, fires etc., which cause service disruption and inconvenience to consumers during the most critical time. There was also a need for effective executive reporting for a briefing to media/government bodies.
Current Challenges:
The existing process for capturing information related to an event was manual, time-consuming and inaccurate. There was no easy and quick way to assess the impact of any environmental events, e.g. how many sites are impacted, how many consumers are affected, and what needs to be done to restore systems and processes. Lack of reporting for operations as well executives.
