Serving new-age customers (Millennials)
Millennials have grown up in the age of the internet and mobile communications. They are quick to adopt technological changes. Over the last three years, we have seen massive growth in OTT, wearable tech, mobile payment gateways, smart transportation etc. With these increased trends, new-age consumers have significant tech expertise and skills hence setting the demands on future digital networks and services. They are becoming less patient and have very high expectations from service providers. Service providers need a technology partner who is agile, innovative and understands Millennials’ mindset, e.g. you cannot have the same UI/UX as a decade ago. You cannot design a system-keeping technology as the center.
Experienced Technology companies need to check that,
- They do not fall into the competency trap. “Organisation becomes so good at one thing, it can’t learn to do anything new” (Lohr & Tejada, 2018, A1). Robson (2020).
- Complacency is a disaster for any organisation.
- Organisation silos are the enemy of agility. Large organisations often face rigid silos. This is not the way to create organisational agility. People from different departments must collaborate and share information to succeed in today’s economy.
STAFF is our unique approach, which we practice consciously to make Cleverex a Relevant & Agile organisation
- Strategic Inclusivity: Defining organisational strategies & goals needs fresh and bold thinking. It must take care of the needs of new-age consumers and young technical minds. We believe that strategy is not limited to leadership; hence, our brightest young guys find a place in our growth & strategy sessions. Every opinion matters. This also endorses our culture of trust and transparency across the organisation.
- Technology Agnostic Mindset: For us, it’s all about helping businesses solve their problems and scale their businesses. Our approach is to go for technology that can address requirements or problems efficiently rather than using the technology based on what skills are available currently. Ability to propose and adopt new technologies to keep evolving. Learning is a natural process if one has the right mindset. We focus on developing this thinking and attitude.
- Adaptability: it’s not about how much experience you are carrying but how quickly you learn & adapt new things and make them scalable and sustainable.
- Fail Fast & succeed faster: An idea without execution is a delusion. It’s essential to empower and encourage individuals to try their ideas. Learn from the experiences of others in the organisation. We are willing to experiment and take chances; there is a tolerance for failure. Hence we believe that spending time on quick prototyping and building MVPs are the best ways to validate requirements and identify any unknowns early in the lifecycle.
Flat & Non-Hierarchy: Our capability-first orientation gives individuals more autonomy and decision-making power. Having fewer levels of management also leads to faster decision-making and streamlines internal communications. Focus is on tasks, responsibilities and expected outcomes than hierarchy and approvals. Engagement & Program level responsibilities ensure scalability too.
